Please note that this medication is not effective in treating Hydatid tapeworms.

Dosage and Administration

Dogs

Puppies: Treat at 3, 6, and 12 weeks of age and then every three months as needed. 
Adult dogs: Treat regularly every three months for the animal's lifetime as needed. If whipworms are known to be present, treat every six to eight weeks after 3 months of age.
Pregnant and lactating females: Treat prior to mating and before whelping. Animals should be given two treatments (at an interval of 14 days) during the gestation and lactation periods, then every three months.
If worm problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Cats
Kittens: Treat at 6, 8 and 12 weeks of age and then every three months as needed. 
Adult cats: Treat regularly every three months for the animal's lifetime. If whipworms are known to be present, treat every six to eight weeks after 3 months of age.
Pregnant and lactating females: Treat prior to mating and before kittening. Animals should be given two treatments (at an interval of 14 days) during the gestation and lactation periods, then every three months.
If worm problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Dose one tablet per 22lbs (10kg). Tablets are double scored, so can be accurately broken into quarters for accurate dosing for smaller dogs and cats. Always weigh the pet before dosing to ensure that you do not underdose. Tablets may be given whole, directly into the mouth, or crushed and hidden in food. Ensure that you watch the pet after dosing to check that the entire dose has been swallowed.

Warnings, Side Effects and Drug Interactions

Side effects in a small number of animals can include vomiting, depressed appetite and unsteady gait. If the latter occurs, discontinue administration of the medication. To reduce the likelihood of vomiting, administer with food and divide the dose. Use with caution in debilitated animals and animals with reduced hepatic function. If problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Please note that this medication may not be totally effective in treating whipworms in dogs, nor Hydatid tapeworms. It does not prevent Heartworm disease. Can be use in combination with Praziquantel wormers where Hydatid Tapeworm is an issue.
