For control of common bacterial infections in fish. For aquarium/ornamental fish only.
May be used in fresh or salt water aquariums.
Metronidazole is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirus).
It does not adversely affect the filter bed when used as directed and is easily removed with carbon.
There is little danger of overdosing. Usual dose is 125 mg/40L (10 US gallons).
Add one tablet to 10 gallons of aquarium water.
Raise temperature to 85°F for cichlids and 90°F for discus.
If fish show signs of distress, reduce temperature.Keep at this temperature to normal and change half of the water.
Severe cases may require a second treatment.
Angels: 1 tablet to 5 or 10 gallons of water.
Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. Not to be given to fish intended for food use.
Each capsule contains 250 mg of metronidazole.
